Merry Christmas

I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas.  Also, thanks to everyone who has offered words of encouragement over the year.  I’ll leave comments open tomorrow  but will probably turn moderation back on for a few days starting the morning of Dec 26th.

    Dear Santa,
    For Christmas this year I would love another year of Dalrock and his incredible research and articles. I have not been especially good, but if you could see your way clear on this request I’m sure it’ll help me be better next year.
    Thanks,

    This website is a church in every sense of the word, where men gather together, share each other’s burdens, sometimes rebuke each other but build each other up.Scripture gets treated with respect and reverence.
    I’m going to wish my fellow parishioners at Dalrock a Merry Christmas, a

    I don’t comment here as frequently as I would like to – but you must know how valuable your work here is. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    You are doing God’s work by proclaiming desperately needed truths. I suspect there are many men like myself who despaired of finding truth until finding this blog, tired of applying the same old broken answers when our experience told us they weren’t working, while the church and culture around kept betting double-or-nothing.

    I have found more help in your pages in 7 years than in the previous 50 of “conventional” christian teaching, videos, counsel, and error “wisdom”. Amazing what a literal interpretation of the Bible will do when you read the whole counsel of God rather than a few cherry-picked scriptures on marriage, carefully cultivated not to offend our modern sensibilities or the matriarchy.

  18. Robert What? says:

    A happy and blessed Christmas to all here and especially to our beloved host.

    I realize Christmas is a hard time for many men who’ve been frivorced and estranged from their children. My sympathies to them.

    For me Christmas is a mixed time. I enjoy the seasonal atmosphere. The lights, the music, the decorations. Yet at the same time, having never married, no kids, I feel like an outsider looking in. So I pay some, but not too much, attention to Christmas. I might view Christmas movies, or buy Christmasy snacks, but I have no tree or decorations. I enjoy the season until the 24th and 25th, then I go into hibernation and wait for it to pass.

    Thinking back on my childhood Christmases, I am reminded of how much our nation and culture has lost.

  25. Nick Mgtow says:

    “Sex is coveted by men,” Dr. Tracy Vaillancourt, who’s conducted research similar to the new study, told the New York Times. “Accordingly, women limit access as a way of maintaining advantage in the negotiation of this resource. Women who make sex too readily available compromise the power-holding position of the group, which is why many women are particularly intolerant of women who are, or seem to be, promiscuous.”

    @RPL said: Thinking back on my childhood Christmases, I am reminded of how much our nation and culture has lost.

    You might consider creating memories for children without parents by doing for them at Christmas time what your parents did for you. That might help our culture lose a little less.

  27. Sharkly says:

    @Nick Mgtow

    The research seems really flimsy, like with most psychology studies. However I agree women will usually go further to slut-shame. But, instead of their Evolutionary theory, I just think it is because women can get away with it easier, while men might face socially difficult repercussions from sluts and their Feminist enablers.

  28. Sharkly says:

    I realize Christmas is a hard time for many men who’ve been frivorced and estranged from their children. My sympathies to them.

    Being mid-frivorce and mid-estrangement, isn’t fun either, as I am still finding out. While I always enjoy time off of work, my wife, and her poor pawns, have really been making this a Christmas to forget. I was supposed to have my sons for the bulk of this, my only extended company holiday of the year, but I had the kids for a bit and then my wife took them and claims I can’t have them back because they don’t want to be with me. This sucks! She holds all the cards in the Feminist family courts and can play stupid games with zero repercussions while I have no idea what rights I have, and get charged through the nose for even the vaguest of answers, and usually a week too late. we are supposed to be doing things by agreement, but the psycho is completely manipulative and disagreeable to anything that might ever work for me for one unhinged reason after another. Please pray for me and my children that she will stop estranging them from me and then blaming me for it. She has the boys claiming I said bad things about mommy, because I read them some Bible chapters, and they could tell she wasn’t following any of it. Meanwhile she has talked so bad about me in front of our boys, their whole life, that they have grown up thinking that is normal and acceptable.
    And another long crappy tale is that I tried to get some help with my marriage form some churchian friends who are leaders at my wife’s new church, and it has been an absolute dismal eye-opener as to how absolutely hard they will fight to keep from having to confront a completely feral wife gone on a sinning spree. In the space of a few days I have heard every conceivable lame excuse for why they don’t want to confront my wife, and the deacon and head elder that I talked with apparently don’t know any Bible to back their excuses, and don’t seem to care. They just seem frustrated that I know the Bible and keep confronting them with it. Kind of like the Bible is getting in the way of their churchian ministry and they’re starting to get bothered by it. Thanks to Dalrock and you Red Pilled Christians who post here, I’m pre-weaponized against their Feminist bullshit and have been calling them on it as fast as they can come up with it. Pray for that too. I may be making some headway, but I don’t know yet. They each tried to flip the frame and make this whole divorce about how I am upset and I upset my wife, But I hit them with 1 Peter 3 and flipped it back to how they are too cowardly to tell that to my wife, before they could even get their man bashing rolling. I ripped the rug right out from under their speculating I must have done something, by showing it doesn’t matter! You’re still supposed to preach submission to my wife, even if I don’t try to follow the word of God. The head elder claimed he was going to look into this stuff in the Bible. I’m not sure if the deacon is going to do anything yet, he didn’t commit to anything. But I told him some bizarre stuff my wife has done to me, which he didn’t want to believe, but perhaps he’ll try to make a liar of me, and end up verifying it for himself. He should know well enough, that if I really wanted to make up a believable lie and fool him it would be simple enough, but the truth is stranger than fiction. It is like their goal is to let my wife explode her marriage and her kids home, and then be there to be her welcoming church home where nobody knows the Bible or holds anybody to the Bible. It is just a Feminist club, not a church at all.
    I must have heard, “you can’t make somebody submit” two dozen times. Apparently they feel that is some sort of excuse for them to not even try to ask a woman to follow Gods commands. Plus it is a false statement. They also claimed God doesn’t make people submit. LOL Apparently they have nothing to fear from God then. /S I’m going to be 2 inches taller and have a billion dollars when I wake up. … unless God makes me submit to living the same life He gave me, again tomorrow. He wouldn’t make me submit to that, would he? I’m unhaaaapy, and I know He doesn’t want that. /S Or would he want me to learn to be happy in all circumstances? No! It couldn’t be that. /S

    It’s that time of year. Church comes first obviously, but does anyone have additional suggestions for tax-deductible organizations that specifically address men’s issues? A quick search of the google machine reveals loads of 501(c)(3) organizations for feminists but very few such groups for men.

    It wouldn’t surprise me at all to discover that not only are there no tax-deductible contributions for men’s organizations, but IRS audits and additional tax penalties for contributing to them.

  32. Paul says:

    @Sharkly : it sucks big time if you encounter that even the church will not have your back and does nothing to confront a sinning wife. I cannot give you any legal advice at all, only to keep close to God, and do not sin yourself, if you’re being sinned against. Please find people who are near to you who can pray with you and for you and your wife.

    My sister tells me that on Xmas Eve she and her husband commenced queueing [lining up] at a quarter to five in the evening for the six (not five) o’clock service; that the Cathedral holds about seventeen hundred and the line was so long the Cathedral had to turn away two or three hundred souls. Anyone might think Christianity was popular or something, but with their Gay Bishops, Female Bishops who are intent on rewriting Hark the Herald Angel so as to remove all reference to virginity – must be a bit too close to home for some of them – and a Jewish Archbishop of Canterbury I am much surprised.

    I, naturally, listened at 3pm the next day to Her Maj’s Xmas broadcast. She takes comfort in being a Grandma and apparently we ought to be nice to everyone and The Commonwealth [formerly known as The British Empire] comprises one in three of the world’s population – I always think it a shame that the original thirteen American colonies have failed to sign up – we don’t want the rest – you know you want to.

    On a more serious note she mentioned that her father had been on H.M.S. Collingwood at the Battle of Jutland in 1916 where something over a dozen capital ships were lost and six thousand men were killed. He said (according to his daughter) that why his ship was not hit was something he could not understand. The Lord truly works in mysterious ways for consider what a disaster it would have been in 1937 had there not been a spare following the abdication of Edward VIII.

  34. Sharkly says:

    Thanks Paul.

  35. Swanny River says:

    I am sorry Sharkly, a bad wife you could eventually make peace with, but so many Christians being so cowardly is a burden that is hard for others to understand. Instead of being comforters they are tiresome opponents.
    Continue being patient with your kids, your wife’s tricks have an expiration date because your boys hearts are tuned to you, not her.

    Today’s Navy: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6537905/Gay-Navy-couple-recreate-iconic-New-York-WWII-kiss-face-brutal-backlash.html

    A gay Navy sailor has recreated the iconic Second World War kissing photo with his teacher husband – but the heartwarming moment has been marred by an angry homophobic backlash.

    Bryan Woodington, 33, returned home to Florida after seven months in the Persian Gulf and Europe on December 21, to greet husband of one year Kenneth Woodington, 30.

    The couple won a lottery to perform the ceremonial first kiss, a naval tradition that was captured on Jacksonville station News 4 Jax.

    But the station reports that not all their viewers were pleased with the same-sex couple’s intimate moment, and News 4 Jax was ‘bombarded’ by hate messages….

    Gays were supposed to settle for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” But the demands never stop.

    And now National Review, and Dennis Prager, and all the cucks, are seeking compromises with the trannies. As if trannies will ever settle for less than everything.

  38. Opus says:

    @Red Pill Latecomer

    There will always be more demands. Originally (I set out what happened in England) it was to permit consenting adults over the age of twenty-one in the privacy of their own homes to live their lives as they saw fit without the intervention of the state – the very state they then use to bully the rest of us into ever more hetero-phobic legislation. Then, on the grounds of equality, they sought the lowering of the age at which they could indulge sexually with others of the same sex firstly to eighteen and then to sixteen. They would of course like the age of consent to be abolished in its entirety but unfortunately for them they run into that other pressure group the Feminists who having successfully (when they were called Suffragettes) had the age of consent raised from thirteen to sixteen, seek ways to increase it further and they have made some inroads as for instance the ban on pupils associating sexually with their teachers. That one of the world’s leaders (Macron) did just that is conveniently ignored as the predator was Madame not Monsieur Macron. Vive les gilets jaunes.

    Unable to lower the age of consent further the homo-sexualists then, once again using the notion of equality have successfully lobbied (by the abolition of Clause 28) to persuade their members to proselytize children as young as four or five as to the excellence of Homosexuality on the basis that even though no one at that age has any notion of sexuality, homosexuality being the opposite of heterosexuality must be equally valid. Ultimately their aim is to turn all males homosexual and for them the younger the better. The Feminists will have no problem with this provided the most attractive men are excluded.

    One might thus see civilisation as not the LGBTs opposing the bigotry of normal people but a fight between the Feminists and The Homosexualists. I predict a win for Islam! Homosexualists and Feminists have this in common (apart from both being unpleasant sophists) both groups are childless and thus have nothing better to do with their time than annoy everyone else and both tend to be wealthy.

    I wish peace on earth to men of good will but not the Homos for they are in my experience Predatory, Promiscuous and Paedophilic.

    Meanwhile, normal people remain on the sidelines, twiddling their thumbs, almost as if they were apologizing for the space they occupy on the planet, rather than acting as if they had a stake on their world.
    Still wondering when we’ll wake up and fight back.

  40. Hmm says:

    @Dave: “Meanwhile, normal people remain on the sidelines, twiddling their thumbs, almost as if they were apologizing for the space they occupy on the planet, rather than acting as if they had a stake on their world.”

    Jesus instructed us to count the cost of following Him, and many people, Christians included, have counted the cost of activism and found it too high to pay. For now, society allows us our enclaves of like-mindedness (churches, websites like this), and we take refuge there, policing a rather small boundary. They take to heart these words of Paul:

    “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

    and seek to live that peaceful and quiet life. Unfortunately, in any age there are some areas our “kings” will not allow us to do this.

    Along with this passage, we also have the examples of the early Christians, who sought to live such lives in the Roman empire, right up to the point where they were forced to say “Caesar is lord” rather than “Jesus is Lord”. For them that was the sticking point.

    Those of us who are Christians need to look at their example and ask ourselves where we are being commanded to say “Caesar is lord” in our society, and it is precisely those places (marriage, abnormal sexuality, language) where we must resist and bear the consequences. And we must band together and support those who are brought low by those ungodly rulers who would impose those things on us.

    TL;DR version: At some point real persecution of Christians will kick in, requiring the faithful to walk the talk, “separating the wheat from the chaff.” Count on the latter being the far bigger haul.

    For Christmas this year I got Donald to refuse renewal of Jivin’ Joe Biden’s ‘special baby’ — the Violence Against Women Act. It tolled and expired. Too bad Joe didn’t.

    Still . . . thanks, Jeshua!

    Now that the merry-making and gift-giving is over, it’s time to go back to war.

  43. Hmm says:

    @feeriker:

    Yep.

  44. Dave says:

    @Hmm,

    According to the passage quoted (which I agree with, actually),

    “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

    we should have a peaceful world and godly societies.
    When you take a look at our world however, you can only conclude that that is not the case.

    The question then is, are the people of God really doing what they should be doing to get results?
