The ugly feminists of Christmas

As I explained in my first post of the new year, feminists are ugly because they are miserly with love.  But the year is almost over, and as the seasons change so do feminists.  This is the time of year when a feminist’s thoughts turn from resentment of the toil and drudgery of everyday life, to resentment of the toil and drudgery of Christmas.  Jessica Valenti at The Guardian speaks for ugly feminists everywhere with her heart felt Christmas missive No, I will NOT wrap all the presents. Why are women still responsible for the holiday joy?

…jingle bell time aside, it’s a goddamn clusterfuck.

We all know that women do the majority of domestic work like child care, housework and cooking. But the holidays bring on a whole new set of gendered expectations that make the season less about simply enjoying fun and family and more about enduring consumerism, chores and resentment so that everyone else can enjoy rockin’ around the Christmas tree. (I bet even Mrs Claus gets upset that Santa works one night a year but she’s dealing with hungry elves 24/7. That would be almost enough to make you want to over-indulge in eggnog and hurl yourself in front of a reindeer-pulled sleigh.)

Being the holiday point-person can be drudgery. Making lists, wrapping presents, finding sales to indulge a particularly demanding relative’s requests to Santa … baby, let’s just say the brisk winter weather starts to feel bitter cold outside.

Of course the worst part of all for Ms. Valenti is the need to cover her meticulously cultivated feminist sense of victim-hood with a cheerful demeanor:

And it’s not enough that women actually manage to finish all of these chores – we’re also expected to plaster Christmas grins on our faces the whole time, lest the masses think we’re not thrilled with all the wrapping-paper-inflicted paper cuts.

Christmas is a special hell for feminists, and I can only imagine Valenti’s paper cuts are nearly as hard to bear as being forced to stay home with the baby while men fight and die.

Poor bastard. Let’s hope Santa is extra nice to him this year . . . ’cause I just ain’t seeing a lot of Christmas-oriented sex going on with the missus. Or, probably, any other time of year . . .

The wedding photos are funny. He’s purposely out of focus, in the background, etc. I suppose if you’re a submissive man or a cuckold fetishist, this is somehow cute or funny. To me it just looks unhealthy and distasteful.

If you notice most feminist’s husbands…the gaydar and effeminite is definetly higher with them. What sane man in their right mind would commit to that?

As such the homosexual men should be warned about what type of woman will be ‘attracted’ to them. I wouldn’t wish that upon my worst enemy.

Not to start a big kerfuffle here, but I don’t see this man as a beta male at all. Beta men are the types of working-class heroes that built civilization. This preening submissive with his metrosexual snark can’t hold a candle to any of those dudes.

Boxer…..I see she has been married 5 years now. Care to place a sporting wager that marriage does not make it to the 10 year mark?

Odd as it seems, I see a strange island of stability opening up when we get this far out into the edges of the big freakshow tent. A few seconds of examination suggests that neither of them could possibly do any better. They’re probably evenly matched in loathsomeness, and I’m certain that beneath the passive-aggressive displays, they are both united in despising each other to such an extent that it’d be very hard to cross the event horizon of their unhappy coupling.

Such people enjoy being miserable, and their “marriage” (lol) is a suitable vehicle for such a twisted indulgence. I think it is possible they’ll be together for the forseeable future.

    Boxer

  20. earl says:

These type of people try to be Debbie Downers to the real reason for Christmas.

To celebrate the savior Jesus Christ coming into the world as man. To freely give gifts to one another and to enjoy the company of our families. It’s not easy tasks…but that’s what makes it worth it.

  21. Boxer says:

We send them all our women, they send us theirs.

Problem is, no other society would find American women useful.
    https://heartiste.wordpress.com/2009/07/15/what-foreign-men-think-of-american-women/

We’d have to sweeten the deal financially, probably to such an extent that it’d bankrupt us completely. There are some exceptions, but for the most part, American chicks are a curse and a plague upon humanity.

  22. GottliebPins says:

Men are the providers and protectors. Women are the nurturers and the glue that hold the family together. When society or feminists dictate that the roles should be reversed or shared equally then everyone is equally miserable. When women provide for themselves and their children on their own or through wealth distribution then men have no purpose. When women put career ahead of family the family collapses and women are bitter and angry all the time. I’ve wrapped a crap load of gifts over the years. I wash clothes. I clean house when I feel like it. It’s my house after all. I don’t need a woman to do those things or to nag me to do them. Women are bitter that men can live without them and be happy. They obviously can’t live without us or the govt forcing us to pay for them. We men are the sensitive caring ones. It’s our only weakness. Women don’t have this weakness. It’s all about them and their needs. They play the victim and when that doesn’t work they try to shame us because they know we are sensitive and it works. But many of us have become hardened from years of combat and their tricks don’t work on us anymore. When all men are equally hardened the games over. Women can bitch and moan to each other but none us us will listen. I’d like to see women work in some of the shitholes I worked in. The coal fields of WV and KY. Filthy dangerous places. Be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you’re dead. Blasting all around, trucks as big as houses. You’re like a bug to them. Women have it hard? LOL.

  23. There’s two very simple solutions here that she’s completely missing:
    – Feeling put-upon because you’re doing all the work yourself? Ask for help.
    – Feel like this shit is not worth the stress and you’re only doing it to keep up appearances and meet the expectations of others? Stop doing it.

  24. Opus says:

What exactly is a Feminist other than (as we used to say) a Harridan?

Should any man seek to deprive his wife of the pleasure of wrapping the Xmas presents would this not then be the controlling or abuse behaviour that has where I am domiciled now been criminalized. Anyway – women are better, much better at wrapping things, applying tape or string or sealing wax and affixing little notes with expressions of affection thereon. It is surely for this reason that they are allowed time away from the office to attend to such matters, though for the life of me why (given that the shops are open in the evenings and through the weekend) they should need two extra days holiday to do so leaves me somewhat lost, yet was there ever a woman who would not happily volunteer for extra shopping.

The Guardian (the paper of choice in Academia and the eighth best selling English Daily) is the paper that has readers (and presumably writers) who think that they should be running the country; may it stay that way and progress no further. Never purchased or probably even read it and its new Berliner size seems most odd.

  25. “We all know that women do the majority of domestic work like child care, housework and cooking.”

And men do the majority of non-domestic work. Tell you what, jessica, go work in a coal mine for a couple hours and I’ll wrap your presents for you. Deal?

  26. Rollo, how do we know Malala Yousafzai is a feminist? Does she go around saying all men are potential rapists, or that women who commit felonies shouldn’t be sentenced to prison?

  27. “Feel like this shit is not worth the stress and you’re only doing it to keep up appearances and meet the expectations of others? Stop doing it.”

But then The Patriarchy would kick down her door and haul her away to domestic reeducation camp! Happens all the time!

  28. Cadders says:

  29. Opus,

What exactly is a Feminist other than (as we used to say) a Harridan?

Don’t think of the feminist as an individual. This of her fitting a construct as defined by a fluke or birth. As Rush Limbaugh said in his 35 undenible truths of life:

#24 – Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of soceity.

Opus, I confess that I read the Grauniad, in the days when its linotype wallahs were defiantly unsober, and the print came off on your hands (could never wear a linen trouser, fly issues). Mainly because of Arucaria’s crosswords, and they still had “Manchester” in the title.

Now, here’s a splendidly unpleasant “actress” from one of the grown-up papers today, giving us the lie of the land from the opposite bank of the Great Gash.
    e.g.
“What are the most useful financial lessons you’ve learned?

Never, never, never move in with anyone unless you’re married. Never move in with anyone unless they’re earning an awful lot more than you and you’re married to them. Never move in with anyone really. I think that covers it.”
    and
“The law in this country is a disgrace if you’re not married. If you’ve lived with someone – and it doesn’t matter if it’s for 10, 20, 30 or 40 years – if you’re not married you are ——. We bought a house together, I sold it to buy a house, but all that you are owed in terms of your input, your finances, is your investment in the property in the bricks and mortar. So the fact that you bought heaven knows how many Christmas presents and paid for and contributed, that’s irrelevant, and also every single gift that you’ve ever been given is no longer yours. It’s simply because you’re not married, and it’s absolutely wrong.”

Still smarting at the paucity of cash/prizes after binning one of the un-hubs.

  39. Bluepillprofessor says:

A comment on /r/theredpill a week ago nailed this topic:

“I’ve seen my wife stress herself out with meeting her invented standard while performing an invented task that no one asked her to do and that has no bearing on our family’s well being in the short or long term. Then, once she’s all wound up, she’s justified in treating others however she’d like to treat them because she’s stressed, and her stress is automatically valid and everyone must acknowledge that.”

Women make up problems and then create fake complaints about made up problems.

Let me just guess it is female superior position only at the Mr. and Ms. Vallentini house and only about 10 times a year. I am sure Mr. Vallentini closes his eyes and thinks about his boyfriend. I don’t think I have ever seen a more obvious beard.

    GottliebPins says:

We men are the sensitive caring ones. It’s our only weakness. Women don’t have this weakness. It’s all about them and their needs.

Men are idealists and romantics. Women are much less so in their mating strategies. Women are surprisingly pragmatic and calculating when selecting a mate, but that may all be happening on a subconscious level for them… consciously they just get a feeling. When their behavior is analyzed on a macro level it is clear they are anything but romantic.

Fake romanticism is a great way to manipulate men, though.

  45. lgrobins says:

Maybe if women didn’t buy so much material crap this whole wrapping issue would be moot. We all bring the holiday stress upon ourselves. Plus, gift bags are popular for a reason…the “lazy” way out, although some might say that is the feminist or “not real woman” way to wrap gifts, but often its practical and still looks just as nice.

  46. Spike says:

Nailed it one, Dalrock: Feminists are ugly and miserly. At a time of giving, they look uglier and positively Scroogy.
I would like to put a different spin on Mr Valenti. I don’t think he is effeminate or closet gay. As a Harvard graduate, he probably doesn’t care, read or believe in the slightest what The Shrew writes. I think he simply cares that she has a job and that money comes into this household. No matter the damage it does out there in Readersville, where Valenti is believed and acted on.
This is a model used by that other candidate for Femme Enabler of The Year – Jay-Z. He doesn’t seem to care that his wife is all over the shop with feminism, singing “All the Single Ladies” while calling herself “Mrs Carter”. Again, as long as she is selling, making cash, husbands don’t care.

What is it the Bible warns? “Love of Money is the root of all evil…” (1 Tim 6:10).

Honestly I think this kind of stuff is intended for critics of Feminism like Dalrock. I think they are fucking with ya’ll. They got the power and they know it, and love to throw it in your face and keep doing it. Your average woman doesn’t see doing stuff for Christmas as a chore and never will. This is so over the top there is no way its serious. She is giving you the middle finger. Wrapping paper cuts? Good one.

  51. tz2026 says:

    1. @galloper6 fit-test is the polite term. Unreasonable demand – the ability to reason and say “No” might be better. Although I don’t believe in evolution, it seems that a group of a species that has an occasional problem with irrationality would develop a tendency to find someone to halt it.

    2. There is the feast of the nativity and the 12 days until the feast of the epiphany. Then there’s the materialist Xmas. Two men will wish each other a merry Christmas and prosperous new year and not worry about gifts. I think Christmas becomes OC, status, and perfectionism for women.

There is something about it being a children’s holiday, but with so few children, it seems a substitute like the pampered pet.

The feminist wished a gaudy instead of godly Christmas, and if there is a man within emotional reach, he will be drawn in.

  52. greyghost says:

Ya. Soon there will be separate sections for woman only on public transportation like in India. My point is that those Feminists like Jessica Valenti know it’s over the top what they are writing but they want to keep pushing the envelope until it’s accepted. As Hitler said if you tell a lie long enough and big enough…Valenti is just a Feminists Joseph Goebbels. She knows what she is writing is over the top and stupidly trivial but that is her job. I don’t get excited or surprised by what Fascists write or say because I know what they are and why they are saying it.

Feminists “pressure” didn’t cause Boston and NYC to start these campaigns, and the state of California wasn’t under pressure to pass Yes means Yes. They WANT to shove this legislation down on everyone. Remember the more power women have the more power government has. Women love big government because women get the bulk of the government spending and they think money is created in magic money fairyland, and there is always enough of it to go around and it always retains it’s value.

Sending American women abroad would be tantamount to a declaration of war, like lobbing plague-filled artillery shells.

  62. MV says:

IMO elites are beginning to realize that the feminist paradigm has reached the phase of negative marginal returns. There are too many increasingly histrionic scolds running around, stomping on each others feet and competing for public resources, so that male slaves react to them only with indifference, mockery, disgust or outright rebellion. Elites might try to thin the feminist herd by throwing the most obviously problematic ones under the bus (“our trust in Jackie was misplaced”). But then the panic will outbreak in the feminist ranks, fine-tuning their hysteria while still trying to throw each other under a bus, for being either too much or too little politically correct. (It is already happening between Sabina Rubin Ederly of RollingStone and Teresa Sullivan of UniversityOfVirginia and it will only get better.)

  63. MV says:

    @feeriker

Sending American women abroad would be a bioweapon attack with STD WMD.🙂

  65. feeriker says:

Unfortunately, getting women to stop buying useless, overpriced, material crap has about as much chance of success as getting rattlesnakes to stop eating rodents: it runs counter to what nature has programmed. Additionally, since large sectors of the global economy would collapse if women stopped squandering large quantities of fiat dollars on shoddy, useless garbage from the Third World, any serious campaign to stop such activity would be violently crushed by TPTB forthwith.

Sadly I have to disagree. The elites were the one that financed feminism (CIA funding Ms.Magazine etc.). They knew what the implications of all this would be. The next phase is a gender caste system and acceptance of woman as superior which is why hypergamy is now out in the open.

The average man just a piece of garbage except the tall alpha who will be considered god like and have harems of women at his beck and call. Celebrities are very important as well in the new world. They are already considered real gods on earth to some degree, especially by women. Actors and sports heroes are the super Ubermensch. The weed smoking black guy with dreadlocks playing corner for the Miami Dolphins is your new savior! Worship him slaves, as you would Jesus Christ!

  74. cynthia says:

    @Bango Tango

My boyfriend sent me a Men’s Health article a while back that I try to share with the celebrity-obsessed women in my life, about what male celebrities have to do with their bodies.

Girls whine incessantly about “body image problems” and “unrealistic expectations” set by Hollywood for females in this country, but all you have to do to be attractive as a woman is be thin. In my experience, men don’t even really care about make-up, as long as you’ve got a healthy glow about you and decent bone structure. In other words, women can control their attractiveness through diet, or, not shoving that second cupcake in their face. It’s the act of not doing something.

Men, on the other hand, have to work very hard to get that “celebrity” body girls in my generation have been conditioned to expect. Those shirtless scenes in movies take actors months to get ready for; shoots are timed around diet and exercise programs scientifically engineered to cut body fat to a desperately unhealthy 2-3%. It’s dangerous, it’s difficult, and it demands a high level of self-discipline. It’s not sustainable, and especially for athletic, military or other “combat” focused characters, that kind of low body fat is not realistic. A guy couldn’t play football or serve a tour in Afghanistan as a door-kicker with 2% body fat and be effective at his job.

Girls my age don’t understand that, though. To your point, they think that guys should all look like Charlie Hunnam in the first few seasons of Sons of Anarchy; waxed and oiled like he’s in a gay porno.

Great post and your observations are pretty accurate. Although I think women can even get away with shoving cupcakes in their mouths as long as it’s not excessive. Men like curves, just not hanging flab.

In the past there was never a standard of beauty that men had to live up to. In fact focusing on how you looked was considered unmanly and feminine. Men still cared but there was never mass media pressure to look a certain way or have six pack abs. Then in the space of a few decades that all changed. Now like you said men are near killing themselves to be lean and muscular. I almost threw up when I recently saw pics of men who had ab implant surgery. I don’t know how someone could feel good about themselves after doing that but I don’t understand facial tattoos either. This culture is now anything goes which to me is like the sign of the apocalypse and not progressive.

You always lose and she never ever forgets anything you do or say. You could be in the middle of an argument about something that just happened and she’ll throw something out from 16 years ago totally deflecting the argument. And if you are as smart or smarter than them then it’s always a competition in their mind. They get very defensive if you know something they don’t or if you’re better at board games or if you can do some craft or hobby equally as well as them. You’re deliberately trying to make them look bad. They are insufferable. I had to stop playing all manner of games at family holiday parties lest I instill her wrath. I tell my friends if there’s ever another one she’ll be pretty and dumb with a nice personality. Dumb nice girls don’t spend all day thinking of new ways to shit test you. Nothing worse than having one woman playing sloppy seconds to last night’s entertainment. And the cost sure isn’t half of everything that I own…

So, come on ladies – at least admit that you are incompetent at anything other than sex, which is really the only thing most of you ever do more than once in a blue moon. One of the reasons I bring women to my place, or to my room when playing a gig is because either their is a hubby/bf/child is in theirs, or it looks like pig’s sty… More likely to be a pig’s sty…

Ah, but I must revise a bit on what you wrote, Gottlieb. What you are referring to about their ability to twist every word around to mean what they want them to mean, that of course doesn’t make what the “smart” girl says actually smart. It just means that it is smart to HER. It’s that accursed hamster-wheeling bullshit illogicality they use to justify ANYthing to themselves.
And I am telling you all, AGAIN, that today’s hireling shepherd “pastors” from incorporated “churches” are spineless putty in the hands of such a jezebel. It’s truly pitiful and galling to take part in such a travesty of “marriage counseling.” They elevate the jezebel’s feeeeeeelings above Scripture and then they tell you about this great movie the both of you should go check out, it’s called FIREPROOF, and what a great, “christian” and “biblical” message it contains.
Bullsh#t, you hireling shepherd. Bullsh#t. I will never take counsel from such worldly, phony pious frauds again in my life. Whenever I have done so in the past, it was I who always got injured.
And ONE word from any of those “spiritual leaders” would have in fact sent her scurrying humbly away submissively, because this gal, my jezebel wife, has proven to actually be terrified of civil rulers and law enforcement or ANY authority figure. It’s just ME, her husband, whom she won’t obey.
And she continues in her rebellion to this day. And she continues to get all “religious” about it, too, hiding behind her sudden return to unrepentant religiousity, and she is facilitated in doing so by these neo-con, evangelical, clueless, false-pious frauds, who claim Jesus and the Bible but do everything to further the cause of FEMINISM and to tear down any shred of respect for husbands and fathers.
    I’m rambling. Didn’t mean to.

We need (1) a feminist team, (2) an anti-feminist team and (3), a confused gender team. This is no joke folks. The two gendered teams will go to war with one another. The genderless (transgender) will want nothing to do with reality and/or competition of any sort. Hopefully, the genderless can be discarded – just like the homos and lesbos. After that – we can have a decent comp between the hetero males and females, right?

Women will be drawn in and they won’t be able to escape. Why? The debates won’t only be ruled by laws of decency – but by the rules of feelings. Women cannot escape feelings, right? Men will trounce women, lesbos, homos and the confused by sheer numbers ALONE!

Can you say All Men? If not, just say amen. It works out just the same.

Bear in mind that many divorced dudes go through some pretty rough emotional times as they’re cutting the ties. At that point, I notice that particularly lowlife wimminz will move in for the kill. Beware those seemingly hot twentysomethings who just appear, out of nowhere, offering to soothe your soul and give up the ass. They want something, and often the dudes that fall for that end up worse off than they were before. Consider a “dating moratorium” of at least three to six months, while you’re working out the separation. Don’t do anything stupid, either (violent or self-destructive). Wait out any overwhelming feelings and try to look at the big picture.

Good resources, aside from this blog, include the No More Mr. Nice Guy forums (at least, they used to be pretty good), and a few months after the separation is concluded, maybe Athol Kay’s blog. It seems like it’s for married dudes, but it works just as well for men who are dating, and want to *get* married (again).

I’m going to compile a long overdue story. The story I’m going to compile will be called, “Mr. Smith’s Guide for Men”. This story has never been told. This story is not a fiction.

You will be the first to read and discuss what will become the most important and controversial of all words written and read, by all men, in the 21st century. This story is going to radically change the face of all interaction between men and women.

Every syllable you read will serve only to upend all of modern illusions, enchantments and false beliefs. All of society will change as a result of this writing.

After you’ve read what’s written, as a man, you’ll have zero a naive or gullible bone in all of your body remaining. College, university and corporate campuses are going to work carefully to replace what I’ve written with their own versions of the truth. They’ll know not what they do. You’ll demand the truth.

This book will be written from a male’s perspective – period. No women will have input into this writing. What’s written in this book will be heavily sourced from the best of the best in men’s modern, historical writings – by the best of all modern, male writers.

All profits from this endeavor will be awarded to the programs that support the men that fight for our rights on the home front and battlefields. All contributions to this book that result in profits will be bound to charitable causes directly impacting the betterment of the heroic men of the United States.

Look about you. All that you see was built by men. Do you know why this is? If not, this book explains it.

My family stopped exchanging gifts years ago other than for the birthdays of small children and one-off events like graduations. In fact, the only Christmas gifts I bought this year were for the guys I work with, because several years ago one of those knuckleheads got guilted into doing it by his wife, and then because one guy did it we all got roped in. That’s been going on for several years, and this year we all suddenly and collectively realized that it’s stupid, so we decided that this is the last time we’re doing it.

What my family does instead is get together at somebody’s house and stuff ourselves. Every couple brings something, and you get whatever you get. Turkey and tacos? Awesome! Three kinds of potatoes at one meal? Great! We just enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the day… we don’t even have a tree up.

Then we hang out for a while and then everyone goes home. That’s how it’s done.

Marcus linked the forums question by a guy who calls himself “Thomas White:: “Flirting with many girls… am I an *******?”

Dude, I’m sorry, but if I were a girl that would disgust me, too.

Girls are not a game. They are the daughters of God.

Start treating them with more respect.

Uh… maybe, maybe not… but mostly not. Preselection is a real thing. It may seem like a tautology, but my most successful times with women were when the one(s) I was with knew I had options, including once having two girlfriends who knew about each other. “JamalChristophr” is projecting male selection criteria onto women – a classic sign of a young man who knows nothing about women. If “JamalChristophr” really was a girl and saw “Thomas White” flirting with multiple girls and getting nowhere with any of them, it might well set of her “creep” vibe. On the other hand, if JamalChristophr saw him flirting with multiple girls and them flirting back, she would probably become interested herself. And while “girls are not a game” is true, dating is a a bit of a numbers game – and volume matters. And since when do young women respond well to being treated with respect? Every successful player I’ve ever known treated women like crap – and girls would crawl over broken glass to get away from perfectly decent guys – like JamalChristophr probably is – to be with them.

Bumpy things can get better, though I cannot promise that for any given situation. Prayer and truly following Jesus can work wonders on ourselves and end up changing our situations. It may be because we go forward with a different view or the other party really does change. Either way can be good.
