Chump in Chief

From Real Clear Politics (see the video there):

Barbara Walters, ABC News: “What is your biggest peeve of each other?”

President Obama: “I don’t have one.”

Walters: “Aww.”

Michelle Obama: “My list is too long.”

She is married to arguably the most powerful man in the free world, and he has just graciously passed on the offer to complain about her.  Yet she still feels compelled to get in her gripes presumably in the name of girl power.  I’m not a fan of Obama, but if he doesn’t deserve respect from his wife, specifically in public, what husband does?

Interesting…I still can’t figure out why most women are so critical about their husbands and want to change them. It seems it is this way with 90% of the women…Wish I could figure it out. Thanks for this. It’ll make for another post from me.

  2. Doug1 says:

I’ve always thought Michelle was egregious in lots of ways.

White America hating chip on her shoulders, masking a sense of inferiority. Not every smart, struggled at Princeton, yet got cushy political fix jobs in Chicago.

  3. RealityBites says:

Barry is a lot of things: lefty, Ivy Leaguer, lawyer, professor, WorldMan, sorta-black, affirmative action baby, community organizer, teleprompter reader extraordinaire, part-time hoops player … and Da Prez.

But above all he’s a BETA … and a distinctly lesser one at that.

    He’s simply pathetic.

    Dal-
I’m not a fan of hers, but do you think she’s maybe just playing to the gals a little here? Check what I’m sayin’. Like you say, she’s married to POTUS, C-in-C, everyone I mean everyone takes her calls. Maybe this is her way of saying “Look girls, I know I got the shit ‘n all, but it ain’t perfect, he’s still a man., he still likes to smell his farts, leaves his socks and skid marked underwear for me to pick up, does and says all sorts of shit I don’t get, plus I gotta’ put up witn practically ever womanhe meets wants to get he ankes to her ears for him and him aware of it and riffin’ wid’ it.” Every woman can relate to that statement she said to Barbara; if she had said “no, I can’t think of a thing, m life is perfect and he is the most perfect thing in it- every woman watching would have said, in cue, “I hate Michelle Obama.” Like I said, I ain’t no fan of either of ’em, but we should be priincipled in our disaffection (sorry for the “we”; I have a mouse in my pocket). BTW what I say augments, not disputes, your premise, only reverses the target to the more general female populace.

  5. Samuel says:

If he cant even gain the respect of his own wife, in his own home, why shoulod any citizen out there bother to respect him as President? Pathetic.

I know what i would have said, if I was Obama, asked about Michelle.

pet peeve? that she looks like a damned gorilla.

  6. That bit of dialog perfectly captures the zeitgeist of modern American marriage. Michelle feels perfectly entitled to be disrespectful to the President of the United States.

    Unreal.

  7. Mitchell says:

Ya’ll give the lady a break. I’m not even a woman, and I guarantee you my list of problems with Mr. Prez is longer than hers…..

  8. @Samuel “pet peeve? that she looks like a damned gorilla.”

    That made me laugh.

But I think that this just shows the difference between social status and status. Obama go elected because he is the man for our times, which in this case says far more about the times that it does the man. Whenever he goes off script the man is a defensive uptight disaster. Michelle is attracted to his ideology but not the man himself would be my guess.

  9. Carnivore says:

Yeah, OK, so Obama is a wimp, but there’s more to it than that. The problem here is that Michelle is representative of a typical American woman – no class. The response she gave I’d expect from trailer trash on the Maury Povich show, not the wife of the President on nationwide TV.

Obviously, she couldn’t answer “I don’t have any pet peeves” because that would be just repeating her husband’s response. If she had some class, however, she would have responded as follows: “My husband is being too generous. We both do things that bother the other. But, we made a commitment when we married to work through our challenges, and that includes pet peeves.”

For some class, take a look at Mrs. Kennedy’s tour of the White House, starting around 7:30 (multi-part video). That’s what I mean by class, something lost on most women today.

“Roger that. Lima Oscar Lima, out”

  13. Escoffier says:

Roissy, in some posts from 2009 or so, refers to Obama repeatedly as an alpha.

  14. Hwan Lewi says:

My grandma would be disgusted. I think she’d have said something like this:— Fight and bitch in private all you want, but it is the height of ill breeding to do it in public or to besmirch your spouse’s or family’s honor (face) in public, or to make your spouse appear a fool. Michelle should have put the anchor in her place after the question directed at the prez (not the prez himself, that would be inappropriate seeing as the anchor is a woman). If she didn’t, the prez ought to have done it. Husband is family’s first line of defense against men, wife against women.

  15. Ceer says:

In any relationship where you live with someone (married, live in bf/gf, or roommates) the other person will always have little habits that will tend to annoy. The biggest difference in the husband and wife in this case…is the husband’s response treats this as overlooking the routine, while the wife’s response gives a general, unfavorable, and probably truthful look at the matter.

The difficult bit here is that a true aloof alpha will act similar to a beta in this case. The alpha will genuinely not see most of his wife’s annoying habits. The beta will see them and pretend they do not annoy him. Either works to help maintain a stable relationship. Which one is present depends on the more subtle cues.

    @ Escoffier
I can’t remember a single time Roissy referred to Obama as an alpha, or having alpha traits. In contrast, he constantly reminded us of president Bush’s alpha traits.

  16. Doug1 says:

    Escoffier–

He’s not very alpha with his own wife. Not as beta with her as people are portraying him as being though. He treats that stuff with bemusement mostly. I just find her obnoxious, overbearing, white race hating, and not very smart, with a big huge chip on her shoulder about whitey.

Obama is alpha as President. Status, power and celebrity are big. His game is weak but not terrible. He’s got interpersonal confidence a whole lot. The alt.right males may hate him, but single young SWPL females sure don’t. He turned rather alpha in the public’s mind after his 2004 nominating convention speech. Before that greater beta or possible lesser alpha. He seems to have been very confident, at least in and since Harvard law school, and it seems after he transferred to Columbia from Occidental and starting taking college seriously. He played the role of the (relatively) smart black guy.

He’s young, fairly tall and trim, no bad looking and POTUS. As well his being a half black but very well educated and suave semi white acting black man made tons of lefty college and 20 something white (and black) but especially white girls swoon.

What pisses me off is that the media gave him a complete pass on lots of stuff, especially on how far to the left he’d like to go if he could.

  17. Escoffier says:

They’re old posts so maybe he changed his mind.

  18. PA says:

“Michelle has just done the impossible… She made marriage to Hillary Clinton look like less than the worst possible scenario.”

I have my differences with TFH, but that was good. Lollz.

  19. PA says:

What would have Nancy Reagan said?

  20. Fourmyle of Ceres says:

Not the first piece of evidence of his complete betatude. Last year he advised a citizen at a town hall that the key to a happy marriage was to “Do whatever she says.”

Probably typical of kids raised by single moms, flitting from one bad relationship to another.

  21. Mike C says:

This exchange is truly emblematic of where we are as a society. The most powerful man in the world with his finger on the nuclear button essentially giving the “PC supplicating” answer while his wife basically negs/AMOGs him. Truly pathetic.

Is Obama alpha or beta? Maybe he is “alpha” in that he has status, is socially proofed, etc. I have no doubt Obama could have a line of pussy if he wanted. But that is all bullshit. Deep in his core, his inner frame is beta. This exchange demonstrates that. Everyone has something that is a pet peeve of the other person. The alpha thing would have been to mention one thing in a cocky-funny manner rather then give the “correct” answer clearly intended to supplicate to his wife and the audience. I’d like to think it was a calculated response targeted at women since he gets their vote by a large majority, but I don’t think so. I think that is his default beta response.

Her response really does show on some level some kernel of disrespect for his masculinity.

To another comment, it does seem to me that in terms of liberals versus conservatives, the wifes on the conservative side tend to be more respectful, while the liberal wifes almost play pseudo-masculine roles of “busting his balls”. I guess really that shouldn’t be a surprise.

  22. imnobody says:

Depressing. Not the fact that Obama is a higher beta (we all know that). Not the fact that he says he doesn’t have pet peeves about his wife (this has class). But the fact that his wife disrespects him this way in public. It shows how deep misandry has penetrated America o, to repeat the wise words of TFH,

It is the fact that it has become entirely normalized within US culture to view the husband as ‘lucky to have her’ and that the wife can do no wrong.

This is not a scripted TV show, but rather it shows how deeply this mentality has seeped into the US psyche.

In my country, which is one of the more feminists countries in Europe, I couldn’t think of anything similar. The wife of the President is not a public person (she is part of the private life of the President and she only appears the night of elections hugging her husband). But, besides that, she never embarrasses her husband in public.

  23. Escoffier says:

Michelle has been saying things like this about him at least since the early primary season in 2007.

  24. Anonymous says:

All the commenters are missing the point. His wife wasn’t disrespecting him. She was making a joke. Are jokes not allowed in your relationships? You can’t read too much into a one-line exchange.

The Obamas seem to have a healthy relationship, but who knows with politicians. He could be an Edwards or a Gingrich, with a half dozen mistresses on the side, for all I know.

  25. minuuteman says:

    Regular reader, new commenter.

Obama’s answer was a good gentlemanly answer. His beta-ness is displayed not by his answer, but in his wife’s response. If she respected him, she would have given a similar response rather than being incredibly rude and demeaning in public.

  26. YBM says:

I don’t even know the name of the wife of my Prime Minister, and here we see that shes put on equal footing with her husband in the US.

  27. Doug1 says:

    TFH says:

    Mitchell, it is not that.

It is the fact that it has become entirely normalized within US culture to view the husband as ‘lucky to have her’ and that the wife can do no wrong.

    Yeah, exactly.

  28. LeapofaBeta says:

Hard to blame Obama. He played it close to the chest and safe. Blame the potential media reaction he would have had if he would have responded otherwise.

I’ll blame his wife like mad though. That is completely unacceptable. Is it so hard for her to atleast act like the First LADY of the US? Have some class or get out; stop pandering to trash. That’s the kind of offhand comment that has run rampant in the GOP primaries and turned it into a circus show.

  29. ray says:

Escoffier — Michelle has been saying things like this about him at least since the early primary season in 2007.

    of course

this “interview” with “nice feminist” Baba Wawa is straight off the same old teleprompter . . . utterly scripted

grovelling deference from the “most powerful man” in the world to some spoiled, entitled, smartass, fat affirmative-action “success” is precisely what their constituents want to see, and why they were ahem voted-in

monstress michelle’s response is de rigeur for the empowered western female — making it clear to the world that no matter a man’s overt “power,” she out-ranks him, and commands him (and US)

and she DOES rule over us, too, not only in government but in all areas of western culture . . . just the Standard Frontman Shuffle, tho this is an especially pathetic example of how emasculated the western world is, and of “what it takes” to be allowed a position of influenece as a male

  30. greyghost says:

That would have been cool if Obama was one of those keepin real type motha fucka’s and stuck her ass for talking shit.
He should never do another interview with her again.

  31. Anonymous age 69 says:

I live in retirement in Mexico, married 36 years to my Mexican wife. For some years after our married, I, too, was convinced, probably by my wife, that I was lucky to have her. Women have that knack.

A friend lectured me, when I mentioned something my wife was griping about. He told me it was apparent to him that her fortune, and the fortune of her entire family in Mexico, was made the day she married me. Yet, to listen to her complaints, you would believe I took her from paradise to Hell.

It took me a while, but I finally understood what he meant, and it was true. Everything in her life got better, her family in Mexico had a better life because of help possible only because she was married to me.

I have been faithful to her for all 36 years, but not at all because she deserves a faithful husband, but because it is best for me. When I understood what my friend told me the self-criticism for not pleasing her went away.

That sort of nonsense is simply what most low class AW do.

  32. PT Barnum says:

Obama’s answer was a good gentlemanly answer. His beta-ness is displayed not by his answer, but in his wife’s response. If she respected him, she would have given a similar response rather than being incredibly rude and demeaning in public.

It was not. First, it was a lie. So apparently, in your world, “gentlemen” lie a lot. Second, it inflated an already grossly egotistical woman’s ego. Apparently, giving undeserved praise is also “gentlemanly”. Third, it was groveling before the white soccer moms. Apparently, “gentlemen” aren’t afraid to tirelessly ingrate themselves with women at the the expense of men.

  33. Mark Slater says:

It’s easy to over-analyze this. This was merely playful banter on a national broadcast intended to make us feel as though the Obamas are just regular folk.

    They aren’t, of course.

Hard to blame Obama. He played it close to the chest and safe.

It’s hard to blame him for reacting that way live on air, yes.

However it’s hardly the first time she’s done similar on air. I’d never let a girlfriend disrespect me in public like that. At the time I’d probably react similarly to him, though I might give her a withering look if it was a mixed company party type thing or diner with another couple, but when in private I’d tell her if she wants to continue to be with me, that stuff stops, pronto. I’ve rarely had to do this but when I have, it’s worked. I also tell them no spilling of laundry about us to her girlfriends, as I don’t do about her to my guy friends, but rather defend her if necessary or stay shut. I don’t know that that’s always worked perfectly, girls are girls, but it’s worked pretty well.

  36. Ray Manta says:

I saw something like that on a Simpson’s episode. Homer and Marge went in for counseling and Homer was asked about what he found wrong with Marge. He said “Nothing! She’s perfect!” while Marge rambled on for hours (the counseler fell asleep) after she was asked the same question.

I’m not a fan of Obama, but if he doesn’t deserve respect from his wife, specifically in public, what husband does?

Hasn’t she come under fire before for publicly criticizing her husband?

  37. Höllenhund says:

Nancy Reagan was also an insufferable cunt or so I’ve heard. Ignorant, vindictive, scheming. Michelle Obama reminds me of Elena Ceausescu with her obnoxiousness, snobbery and desire to basically buy academic credentials through political pressure and connections.

It’s telling that Obama never mentions that she becomes a better wife when she puts herself first on the priority list.

  39. Rum says:

The first President G. Bush was taken to be a hopeless beta because his wife let her looks go completely and let her eyes wander away from him when he spoke from the stage.
    R. Reagan was accepted as uber-alpha because his wife made sure to stay sleek and trim and kept adoring eyes on him with a laser-like focus at all times.
G.B. and RR were both in WW2. G. Bush repeatedly went into life and death combat as a pilot. RR made some training films.

    Doug,
Agreed. Not much he can do on camera about it, but in private he can make sure that shit doesn’t happen again if he did as you say and took steps to make sure it didn’t happen again.

Of course, sadly if she persisted I doubt he would see that he’d have too many options. I doubt he’d want to do anything about it infront of others, that he’d want to have an affair, or that he’d want to divorce her. All would create a scandal in the media that he would see as something he can’t afford, atleast not until he gets re-elected.

She probably knows this and would know he can’t back up any threats or take an aggressive stance at this time.

Of course, that’s assuming he makes one at all. Which I doubt.

Next time he’s asked whether there are things about Michelle that bother him and he’d like to change he could respond with: “Well why don’t you ask they question of Michelle first? Ladies first.” Then when she gives her usual answer that there are many, many things, he could answer the same question “Oh, there are some things, with a bemused smile”.

Still keeps the high ground but doesn’t pedestalize her when she’s about to turn bitchy, after they ask him first.

  47. Buck says:

There were a scant few stories, quickly quashed, that POTUS liked to pole-smoke “back in the day”. Perhaps his handlers felt a sham marriage would be advantageous for him politically. She is an ideological bedfellow with him though, they both hate white people and hate America!

  48. Retrenched says:

“Perhaps his handlers felt a sham marriage would be advantageous for him politically.”

Yeah, I think most politicians’ marriages are scams anyway. You know, “keeping up appearances” and all that. They’re more like political partnerships than anything resembling actual marriages.

  49. LeapofaBeta says:

    Doug –
I like that solution. I’ll have to keep that idea in mind even when I’m not the Pres. Give the woman enough rope to hang herself and since she made the first move, feminists can’t drown you out with shouts of your keeping your woman in place. Meanwhile you’ve shown you’re stronger than her and let the stupidity wash over the rock of your strength.

Also, have to agree that most political marriages are probably for appearances. Whens the last time you know any politician, male or female, to be single? One must uphold societal image as a provider. A productive member of society that is demonstrating, standing up for, and adding to the values this country.

LOL’d at this. Don’t we all hate regression to the norm.😀

  51. Anonymous123 says:

i thought this was a natural response by an insecure woman married to an alpha male. she denigrates him openly in order to knock him down a peg. i would think shes doubly worried considering what happened with the last Democrat in the White House

and im not sure about TF’s comment about Hilary Clinton. her husband cheated on her multiple times and was a public scandal, and yet she stood by him. what more can Bill Clinton want in his wife? with all the public speeches he has these days, im sure hes come across plenty of women to maintain his philandering ways. unless people actually think hes somehow rediscovered the value of monogamy in a marriage…which would be naive, to say the least.

  52. Tyler Durden says:

Agreed, kind of amazing. A couple of observations:
    a) She did this kind of stuff during the campaign, too. I remember that a reporter asked her what it was like living with Obama, and she went on about how he was, if I remember right, “stinky and snorery” or something like that. This is a pattern that’s been going on for a long time.
    b) As far as the “balancing demands” part of her job, let’s get real here. She has an army of servants. She does not have to do any housework AT ALL. Or cooking. Or driving anyone anywhere. Grocery shopping. Nothing. Every single thing contemporary women bitch about she doesn’t have to worry about AT ALL. Yet, she still has to worry about “balance” — while her husband, who doesn’t get to even mention stuff like this, has responsbility for managing a war, the economy, China. Yet, she still thinks of herself as overburdened.
    c) Barabara Walters is an elderly fool, who wasn’t any good at what she did even when she was younger. She’s a media-propelled version of a nosy Jewish aunt. It’s incredible to me that she’s still on television.

  53. Badger says:

This strikes me as a prisoner’s dilemma in the media lights. Obama stands to gain by appearing magnanimous (i.e. cooperating), as does Michelle (good for the public image to appear happy and healthy as a couple). But Michelle stands to gain in a different way, satisfying the petulant compulsions that appear to be the birthright of the modern American wife, by defecting. She does so, and Obama’s magnanimity is transformed into chumpitude.

  54. Tim says:

The normalization of the public “chumping” of men by their wives, even at the highest level – the presidency – can no longer be understood via traditional means. If you’re the POTUS, and your wife makes you look like a bitch on television, you know there is something in the air. A snappy comeback, or even Game, is not enough firepower. I found this video on youtube, and in my opinion, it is something that we, as men, had better reckon with. It’s time to assume that the X chromosome is the dominant gene, and the Y is nothing more than spice:

  59. Thrasymachus says:

This exchange tells us far less about the Obamas and their marriage than it does about the degree to which misandry has now become the norm in popular culture. Let’s face it. If Obama had responded any differently – even by giving the cocky-funny reply that a real-life alpha would – he would almost certainly have been criticized by feminist elements in the media. He had nothing to gain by producing anything other than the PC response. On the other hand, his wife can establish her credentials as a strong independent womanTM by making deprecating remarks about her husband.

I’ve seen this dynamic play out many times. While it’s probably true that most previous First Ladies would have responded differently, it’s important to remember that they grew up in and were shaped by a pre-feminist culture.

  60. Decidedly declasse on her part, classy on the part of his.

Interesting insight, and let me add a twist. The moral issue addressed here is in-group loyalty. We feel she is not being loyal to her man, who is her family.

However you point out that she has defected. Meaning she has switched loyalties to another group.

The group is the group of women.

I’m sure most men would automatically assume that the basic family unit is the fundamental and prime unit to be loyal to. But it seems that many women believe instead that other women and her children are what to be loyal to.

Women have in-group loyalties that are stupidly strong, and are immoral, if you see in-group loyalty as a moral trait, and the family as the fundamental unit to be loyal to.

  67. Kai says:

I’m very much of the mindset that whatever happens in a marriage, it stays within the marriage and you never speak ill of your partner to others.
But I’m not a politician. Everything either of them ever does or says is intended to influence the voters. I’m not convinced this was the wrong thing to do for that. Like it or not, women are a massive part of the voters, and it’s helpful to play to them. He can’t say anything bad about his wife, since it’s so easily taken to the extreme. But it is often seen as beneficial, especially for a politician considered too high on himself, for his wife to remind voters that he’s a real person – including with some ribbing jokes.
I don’t think the devoted wife who looks up to her husband as a leader would play near so well with the voting public today. I agree that that might say poor things about the voting public, but if you want to be elected in 2012 USA, it seems to me that it’s only reasonable to play according to the current rules.

  68. xsplat says:

she denigrates him openly in order to knock him down a peg.

Ooh, there’s another motivation. Not only is she looking to curry favor with other women, using open disloyalty to her husband as a token offering of loyalty to gain favor with the women’s in-group, but she wants to lessen her husbands confidence so that she has more power and control over him.

It is a shame that the man was not taught counter measures. And that such a public figure does not understand the importance of setting a masculine example of the man leading his relationship. A woman leading in that particular situation is more than unseemly. It’s outright dangerous.

    A pussy whipped president?

Michelle Obama: “My list is too long.”

President Obama: “Well, we could publicly air our irritations, but somehow that seems to me to be petty, and bordering on disloyal. I don’t think the public wants to see a Jerry Springer type squabble of the first lady and the president on national TV, no matter how entertaining that may be. It may seem old fashioned, but I believe that the word “propriety” still means something.”

There’s some instinctual tendency for women to do that as a shield and restraint from greater male power in the home, in most societies, historically and cross culturally. American feminism has both greatly diminished greater male power in individual women’s lives by a host of legislation and cultural propaganda, and great encouraged the free and frequent expression of that innate female instinct over very little and in fact the trivial.

It’s disgusting and must be called out and shamed by men, and just not tolerated.

Fine, you don’t like his politics but to use this as an example of a man being a chump makes me sick to read.

I mean, if Obama had actually complained about Michelle on this fluff piece, folks would be up in arms about the President dissing his wife on National TV. If she did the same then folks would be saying that they are not being honest on TV.

Chill the heck out people. The man courted a senior lawyer, married her and soon got to the White House. The man is no chump.

All this TV stuff is just for show. Best believe that Michelle is making sure that Obama doesn’t need to look elsewhere to get his freak on. That woman is stacked in the right places.

  74. whiskey says:

Sailer noted that Michelle Obama has never been impressed with Obama, because she knew a “real Alpha” — she babysat for Jessie Jackson. Plus her brother was a Basketball Superstar and currently the coach at Oregon IIRC. So there’s that.

I will say there are persistent rumors, mostly on the complete absence of ANY noted pre-Michelle Girlfriends around Barack Obama to the point that he’s gay, and Michelle Obama is a beard. That might also have a bearing if true. [The press dug up old McCain girlfriends by the truckload, even a guy like Kerry had a bunch, neither of those guys radiate sex appeal. The very lack of women around Obama’s past is instructive.]

Obama seems passive aggressive. “Too much” desire for interpersonal conflict can stall/ruin careers unless rescued by wartime necessity: Patton, Curtis LeMay, Nathan Bedford Forrest, William Sherman. Too little and you get wimpy time-servers. So far Obama seems to lack the sort of discipline plus fire that characterized Ike or FDR or Truman. He seems dependent on crowds and media adulation not a guy who can do “retail politics” like Clinton or Reagan. He’s strangely sexless, like Nixon (who IMHO he resembles uncomfortable in his own skin). Is he gay? I have no idea. He’s certainly not got the respect of his wife, who knows him best. That’s pretty clear.

yeah just like in this video, but stupid PUA and MRA hucksters project their own insecurities on the bride.

  77. uncleFred says:

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

This is not about disrespect nor is it about alpha/beta. This is about politics nothing more. Obama is possibly the most vindictive and divisive President in the nation’s history. He has already embarked on a campaign which, in its initial stages, is more negative that any at this point since the development of modern communications. This campaign is going to get a lot more negative and divisive in the coming months. The exchange in that video is part of the counter campaign to “humanize” Obama so that his popularity will be less damaged by negativity. Polling shows that, since his election, Obama has become viewed as increasingly detached by voters. In the last few days his “personal popularity” has gone underwater for the first time since he started running for the presidency. It is personal popularity that inoculates a candidate from the flash back of running a negative campaign.

In this video clip, Obama is portrayed as just a likable guy whose wife give him a friendly dig. She says it with a smile deprecating the seriousness of her won comment and he laughs at her “joke”. See they are really just people like us.

  78. “It’s easy to over-analyze this. This was merely playful banter on a national broadcast intended to make us feel as though the Obamas are just regular folk.

    They aren’t, of course.”

    This, and

“Fine, you don’t like his politics but to use this as an example of a man being a chump makes me sick to read.”

This. Seriously, I made these exact same points over on Vox’s blog. To take this as any substantive indicator of the President is nonsensical. Politics (including interviews, sessions, and hearings) is all for show.

Some of your comments do no more than expose your deep insecurity, especially related to women. What if it were Joe Biden or any other male official working closely with the President? You guys would likely not see any disrespect and liken it to a joke. It’s time to get over your pathetic fear of being disrespected by a woman.

I think her remark was manipulative and I also blame ALL chicks for it. Any woman who says she can FINALLY be proud of America BECAUSE we elected her husband president; what chutspah.

  85. Rmaxd says:

lol @ Yohami, so hows all that leaping to her defence about her mission, working out Yohami? …

As I said before Walsh simply self destructs, she’s only going to get worse, alot worse …

Women like Walsh, Alte etc., are rabid manhaters, her performance on Dalrocks blog, proves you should NEVER support a woman, especially if she says she supports men

Women who ride the carousel & then settle for beta’s, are simpy unstable & borderline clinically insane … Walsh’s insane pathological lying & evasion of any semblance of a real debate, proves how pathologically disturbed these women are

Riding the carousel ladies, destroys any sense of real stability you may have, while settling for a beta, destroys a womans sense of ethics & morality for good …

It’s no surprise the bitchiest women are the 5’s & 6’s & fat hoes, AND women who settle for beta’s

Women need alpha’s to keep them stable, if Walsh actually had the looks, or the integrity & ethics to attract an alpha, she would be more like Grerp or Bellita, instead of bitch slapping herself dumb ass repeatedly on the internet, while she stands up for men in her head …

  86. YOHAMI says:

Rmaxd, her mission is fine. Helping people navigate the SMP towards monogamy. I mean. Why not.

    The methods, though, different story.

  87. Rmaxd says:

lol Yohami, I kinda find it hilarious even after getting banned from her hole, you still dont get it, Walsh has no mission, remember dont listen to what a woman says, look at her actions & as you pointed out, her methods, different story …

Anyway Walsh has an innate ability to bitch-slap herself, probably self taught for all the alpha’s who pumped & dumped her fat ass ….

Walsh is an opportunist, if she was actually against misandry, lets just say me & everyone else who got banned from her blog, for ridiculous crap, lets just say her digging her own hole has just started … lol

Oh well at least I wont have to wade through Yohami’s & Munsons comments on her site, when im data mining that hole … lol

Btw Monogamy is dead, most of the planet is still polygamous, the declining marriage rates in the middle class & lower middle class, ie most of the population is deliberate & getting even worse as radical feminism goes mainstram in the next few years …

It should be interesting to see how Walsh co-opts radical extremist feminism, as part of her mission, as extremist feminism goes mainstream …

It’s only a matter of time before the radical extremist feminists take over Walsh’s site, with her approval of course …

  90. YOHAMI says:

Rmaxd, Susan wants marriages. Take that as a premise. And she´s catholic or something. So marriage good everything else = sin. But she has a daughter and the daughter has friends and if she just goes screaming “sin” nobody will listen. So her approach goes through shame and intentional bias. I called her on that bias a lot. Most of my arguments there were what I thought were misunderstandings. Then she clarified her mission and the pieces fit for me finally. The meme is:

Marriage is good. No sex until monogamy. Shame on players. Shame on sluts. Everyone else follow me.

    See?

She cant join the feminist extremists, nor most feminists, because feminism is pro slut. Broken chain. She cant do anything really against “men” like you say, because she needs men so women have husbands. So nah, she wont join the extremists. She will continue to talk to young sluts, telling them about the dangers of the cock, she´ll continue to elogiate betas, she´ll have white knights, she´ll tolerate a few Alphas or PUAS or Gamers or whatever as long as they dont preach too much. Thats it. Shes a mom. She´s taking care of her kids.

    Yet.

Is marriage 2.0 unfair? dont talk about it, marriage has to be good mkay? that most women are crazy bitches right now? dont talk about it. That being a beta isnt good for any man under any circumstance? dont talk about it. That marriage or even monogamy doesnt fit everyone? dont talk about it. That… dont say it.

Again she´s not an extremist and she will never join the dangerous people. But she´s not a truth seeker / she´s not going to help solve the problems that matter.

Still, whatever her mission is, why not. Kudos to her. I think she´s gonna do better now that she expelled the unwanted. Ignorance is bliss – says the ignorant.

  92. Dalrock says:

    @YOHAMI

Rmaxd, her mission is fine. Helping people navigate the SMP towards monogamy. I mean. Why not.

I agree with this in the sense that if you are going to be promiscuous (hook up), you may as well play the promiscuous game to your own advantage (do it smartly). This shouldn’t be mistaken for a moral mission though. Women who seek out sex outside of (once and done, lifetime) marriage should rationally pursue a fundamentally different strategy than men doing the same. Her advice to women is as sound as Roissy’s or Roosh’s advice to men in that respect. She tells women no sex before monogamy, Roosh tells men not to date women before sex. Both are offering sound advice, morality aside. My concern with Susan and many others is she at times seems to sell this as morality. This is very damaging to both men and women.

  93. YOHAMI says:

Yes she sells it as morality – her main resources are shame and fear. I mocked her a few times because of it. I asked, what happens when you commit to the women´s requirements and then she dumps you for a bigger cock. What happens when you commit to a LTR with a girl whos not prepared to handle one. What happens when the mold just doesnt fit?

    Lets not talk about it🙂

  94. Rivelino says:

    @dalrock

“Her advice to women is as sound as Roissy’s or Roosh’s advice to men in that respect. She tells women no sex before monogamy, Roosh tells men not to date women before sex. Both are offering sound advice, morality aside.”

so then do you agree that she should not be giving advice to men?

  95. Rmaxd says:

Yohami, I dont think you’re reading the posts being posted in her forums, & the increasing pro-hardcore feminists who are now posting over at Walsh’s

My comments on Walsh are in fact carefully observed profiling of her site, her site now that she’s banned pretty much most of the MRA’s & gamers, has no direction but to go for a more broader radical extremist feminism

Her sites already there, a vast majority of the comments on there are already pro-feminist

Also as you’ve experienced, her banning & her inane comments’ve got increasingly worse over the years

As I’ve explained before, Walsh is going to get alot worse, her comments in the comments section are only the tip of the iceberg, women like Walsh have an unlimited capacity to screw themselves over

Her mission or agenda, she has already turned against men, just look at her own comments, & the posts she allows & encourages in her forum

Walsh is already a radical feminist, her own decline of comments for the past 3 years, prove her steady intolerance for anything men say on her site

Also Walsh is pro-slut, note the absence of any real posts on her site, condemning sluts outright, except for her comments in the comments section

Walsh, like Lara & the rest of the Alte crowd, anti-slut on paper, but when it comes to reality Walsh & the rest Alte, are pro-slut, as they are & were carousel riding sluts, they have a vested interest in appearing anti-slut

All women who settle for beta’s, always push their anti-slut fronts

  96. Dalrock says:

    @Rivelino

so then do you agree that she should not be giving advice to men?

I don’t have any reference points there coming to mind beyond her advice to Richard, which as I said on your blog was quite bad. Tell her your feelings? Build a stable of women who have LJBF’d you as an “investment” in future romantic relationships? Scary stuff.

But my point here was different although I suspect related. She offers women advice on how to manage the hookup process to their own advantage, and from a practical perspective this is of value. When she makes this appear as moral advice, she is harming both men and women immensely. I’ve written extensively on the idea, so I doubt this is much of a surprise to anyone.

  97. Rmaxd says:

@Dalrock “She tells women no sex before monogamy, Roosh tells men not to date women before sex.”

I’m not sure if you realise this, but the problem with Walsh’s advice, women use sex to bond with men before they become monogamous

In fact most women refuse to form monogamous relationships, if they dont have sex with the man

This is one of the most glaring problems with her advice, she has no idea how women really operate

Women need to have sex, before they can bond with a male in order to feel monogamous

Her advice, like most of her advice goes against what women want biologically, ie women settling for beta’s, causing women to literally destroy their marriages & relationships before they start, Walsh’s advice is that destructive

Her none-mission is equally destructive, as marrying early & settling for a beta, is guaranteed to destroy any marriage before it even gets off the ground … the statistics prove it …

  98. Rmaxd says:

“What happens when you commit to a LTR with a girl whos not prepared to handle one. What happens when the mold just doesnt fit?

Lets not talk about it🙂 ”

lol … yep the truth hurts, obviously bad feelings are a bad thing for carousel riders like Walsh …

  99. Rmaxd says:

“So is Susan Walsh any different from those women who wrote ‘The Rules’ 16 years ago, giving advice that even a novice student of Game could blast right past?

It seems she is just a refurbishment of ‘The Rules’.”

The rules, like Walsh is alot worse then you think

It’s all about the appearance of good advice, which is what makes The Rules & Walsh so dangerous to young women

They never acknowledge how dangerous women are for men in a relationship

This is at the root of the problem with marriage & relationships

If a man commits to a woman, without acknowledging the real dangers of a woman, she will tear him & the marriage apart

A woman’s ability to fall out of love, without her ability to self correct her falling out of love, is probably the greatest danger a man faces from a woman

His inability to correct her falling out of love, eventually leads to her destroying him irrespective of the number of years, or the feelings she might have had for him

This inability of a woman to prevent herself from falling out of love, is simply a fraction of her immense need for an alpha to stabilise her

This is why carousel riders who settle for beta’s like Walsh, are damaged goods & mentally scarred, they’re simply trying to stop themselves from falling out of love with the beta’s they settle for, failure is not an option

As they try & reconcile the cognitive dissonance of their biological need for a alpha, the become increasingly irrational & unable to face any given truth

Remember with women like Walsh, it is not the truth, or the facts at question here, it is her settling for a beta & her need for a alpha, that is at question

As when women fight the truth, they never really fight the truth or the facts, they are really fighing theyre own cognitive dissonance for settling for a beta, & their inability to mate with an alpha

Instability & irrationality, are always the result of a cognitive dissonance of a womans biological imperative & need for an alpha

  100. Feminist Hater aka freaking, clueless, feminist fembot says:

Oh, come on, her mission isn’t that hard to dissect. She’s teaching has been sluts, reformed sluts if you will, to use their last bit of attractiveness to snag a beta provider to divorce later on. Her female commentators talk about it constantly, how they are riding one boyfriend and then the next, and Susan’s all for that, if only those silly men would just get with the program.

I’m a bit late on this topic, but back in 2008, David P. Goldman writing under the pseudonym ‘Spengler’ wrote of the better (and concise) analyses of Obama, ‘Obama’s Women Reveal His Secret’. Link: http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/JB26Aa01.html

    As pointed out by many, this isn’t the first time Michelle shown up Obama in public;

“Never underestimate the influence of a wife who bitch-slaps her husband in public. Early in Obama’s campaign, Michelle Obama could not restrain herself from belittling the senator. “I have some difficulty reconciling the two images I have of Barack Obama. There’s Barack Obama the phenomenon. He’s an amazing orator, Harvard Law Review, or whatever it was, law professor, best-selling author, Grammy winner. Pretty amazing, right? And then there’s the Barack Obama that lives with me in my house, and that guy’s a little less impressive,” she told a fundraiser in February 2007.

“For some reason this guy still can’t manage to put the butter up when he makes toast, secure the bread so that it doesn’t get stale, and his five-year-old is still better at making the bed than he is.” New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd reported at the time, “She added that the TV version of Barack Obama sounded really interesting and that she’d like to meet him sometime.” Her handlers have convinced her to be more tactful since then.

“Frustration” and “disappointment” have dogged Michelle Obama these past 20 years, despite her US$300,000 a year salary and corporate board memberships.”

  108. Jim says:

Ugh, two corrections, it should have read, ‘wrote one of the better…’ and ‘the first time Michelle has shown up Obama in public.’ It’s late and I’m suffering from a case of insomnia and I apologize.

Getting back to the article, in light of these comments ridiculing her husband in public, it does bring up the issue of whether Michelle as representative of your typical modern feminist woman exhibits a level of permanent ‘disappointment’ in her beta-husband despite his accomplishments and status. She wants what she wants when she wants it and anything else just isn’t good enough. If I recall Kate Bolick also displayed such attitude with her beta-boyfriend the magazine editor as rationale for ditching him. It’s an attitude and mentality I’ve encountered all too many women. The only remedy was to drop them and move on.
